At Nova Display Systems, customization is our specialty, and we welcome your unique design and size preferences. We offer acrylic frames in custom sizes up to 48” x 96”, meticulously precision laser-cut with exceptional polished edges. Both the back and front acrylic panels are made-to-order, available in various custom sizes and finishes like clear, non-glare, UV-filter, satin frost, or satin black/white. Standard acrylic frames typically feature a 1/4” thick clear back and a 1/8” thick non-glare front cover. Panels are drilled for M6-M10 studs based on the standoff hardware size and style. Choose the appropriate length and diameter of standoff supports according to the frame size and wall projection requirements. For urgent orders, we excel in providing fast turnaround times. To initiate your project, kindly use the Quote Request Form or provided links to specify sizes and details; please note that a minimum order quantity of (4) four pieces or more is required.
Standard Acrylic Frame Sizes — To Fit Most Popular Poster Formats
Our chart displays the most suitable and commonly used sizes for poster framing, catering to a wide range of preferences. While we offer a variety of standard sizes, we also provide the flexibility for custom sizes or unique combinations to meet specific needs. - Small Format Frames — Displayed by insert size, with the actual acrylic panel being larger to provide a 1-1/4” clear border around the insert.
- Medium Format Frames — Available and listed by frame/panel size without additional border, or by insert size with framing panels larger than the insert.
- Large/Oversize Format Frames — Offered and listed by finished frame/panel size only, without an extra border around the insert.

Elevate your displays with our Clear Acrylic Frames, perfect for showcasing photographs, award certificates, prints, posters, large format graphics, and more. Our frames come in a selection of corner styles, each offering a unique aesthetic that complements various decors and settings.
- Square Corners — Frames with straight corners exude a clean and classic look, characterized by sharp lines for a timeless appeal.
- Round Corners — Featuring rounded corners, these frames offer a smooth and solid appearance with a charmingly simple aesthetic.
- Arched Sides — Frames with arched top/bottom or sides introduce a fresh alternative look, adding style and extra elegance to your displays.
Acrylic Frame Thickness Options — Front/Back Panel Combinations
The ideal combined thickness for acrylic frames varies based on the frame size, typically ranging from 6mm (1/4”) to 13mm (1/2”). Smaller frames are well-suited with a 6mm thickness, while larger frames may benefit from a 9mm or 13mm combined thickness. Our range includes frame grade acrylic sheets ranging from 3mm to 10mm in thickness, available in clear, P99 non-glare, OP3 UV-filtering, and other options. Acrylic sheets offer exceptional clarity akin to glass, are significantly lighter, more impact-resistant, and meet the highest standards for even the most demanding framing applications.
We use only premium quality wall mounting standoff hardware — available in a variety of sizes and finishes. Standoff supports come as a two or three part fitting option for easy installation and maximum durability.
- Satin Chrome Brass, Satin Anodized Aluminum, and Brushed Stainless Steel standoffs with a three-part fitting construct are recommended for use with our Deluxe Series frames that have a non-glare finish front cover.
- Clear Anodized Aluminum or Brushed Stainless Steel standoffs with a two-part fitting construct are recommended for use with our Economy Series frames that have a clear gloss finish front cover.
- Polished Chrome Brass or Black Anodized Aluminum standoffs are recommended for use with our Specialty Series frames such as frosted or satin black.
Acrylic Frame Finish Options — Front/Back Panel Combinations
Our frame sets feature the most common acrylic types and finishes, with additional options available upon request. The specifications for different frame sizes are as follows:
- Small/Medium Format Frames (up to 18” x 18”) — Includes a 3mm (1/8”) thick clear back and a 3mm (1/8”) thick clear or non-glare acrylic front.
- Medium Format Frames (up to 24” x 24”) — Supplied with a 6mm (1/4”) thick clear, frost, matte black, or white back, and a 3mm (1/8”) thick clear or non-glare acrylic front (optional 1/4″ clear front available).
- Large Format Frames for M10 Studs (up to 36” x 48”) — Provided with a 6mm (1/4”) thick clear, frost, matte black, or white back, and a 3mm (1/8”) thick clear or non-glare acrylic front (optional 1/4″ clear front available).
- Oversize Format Frames for M10 Studs (up to 48” x 96”) — Equipped with a 6mm (1/4”) thick clear back and a 3mm (1/8”) thick clear or non-glare acrylic front (optional 1/4″ clear front available).
Our wall standoff supports for acrylic frames are available in two design options and various standard diameters: 12mm (1/2”), 16mm (5/8”), 20mm (3/4”), and 25mm (1”).
- Three-Part Fitting for Easy Installation — These wall supports consist of a standoff spacer/barrel, a wall anchor, and a front screw-cap. Premium standoff spacers feature a 6mm front lip (collar) to facilitate the installation of larger panels.
- Two-Part Fitting for Saving — These wall supports include a standoff spacer/barrel and a front screw-cap. The economy standoff sets come with M10 threaded studs on all screw caps for added savings.
Our acrylic poster frames are available in a variety of sizes to accommodate most standard poster-insert formats. They are perfect for displaying posters, prints, photos, or fine art reproductions by placing them between two pieces of acrylic. Each set includes a standard clear acrylic back and a non-glare (non-reflective) acrylic front panel.
Add-on Products and Services
We offer large format photographic quality printing for posters, graphics and signage at very competitive prices and reasonable lead times. Printing is available on a variety of substrates such as photo paper, polyester films, back-lit films, transparencies, vinyl, label or plastic stock.
For mounting acrylic frames choose from a range of standoff hardware — available in various sizes and finishes such as satin chrome, polished chrome, satin anodized, clear anodized, or stainless steel. Standoff supports are available as a two or three part fitting option for easy installation.
Add depth and enhance the visual appeal of your display with dimensional letters and logos. Depending on your requirements we will fabricate lettering, logos, and special graphics in plastic, metal, and other popular materials with a variety of high quality surface finishes to compliment your display.
