The customization of cable/rod suspended partitions and screens offers a range of options to tailor the design to specific needs. These customizations include selection of the cable/rod configuration that best suits the project’s requirements, choosing the necessary supports to hold the panels/screens based on thickness, selecting from a variety of panel finishes, selecting the cable/rod mounting hardware finish from satin chrome or natural stainless steel. Use the Quote Request Form or the links below to provide sizes and details on your project, please note that a minimum order quantity on certain décor styles and finishes may apply.
Cable/Rod Suspended Partitions — Standard Panel Sizes
- Full-Size Sheet — Typically refers to standard dimensions of acrylic resin sheets, such as 48″ x 96″.
- Narrow and Short-Size Panels — Short-size panels can enhance visual aesthetics and structural integrity of partitions but may impact yield and cost.
- Quarter-Size and Half-Size Panels — Pricing differences between full-size and half-size acrylic sheets are minimal unless edge finishing is required.
- Split-Size Panels — Adjusting sizes on smaller split-size acrylic resin panels can optimize yield for cost efficiency.
- Colorless/Frost Collection — Matte or frost acrylic panels with a robust textured surface, discretely light-diffusing, and pleasant to the touch.
- Luminous Décor Collection — Translucent color acrylic panels in various dramatic colors for light diffusing and optimum visual impact.
- Impressions Décor Collection — Texture embossed acrylic panels with a fashionable, stylish and highly aesthetic look.
- Elements Décor Collection — Decorative resin panels made from a combination of natural and man-made components weaved and encapsulated into clear or translucent resin.
Acrylic Resin Panels — Thickness and Surface Finishes
- 3mm, 1/8″ (0.118″) Thick Panels — Mostly utilized for interior wall decor applications.
- 6mm, 1/4″ (0.236″) – 10mm, 3/8″ (0.354″) Thick Panels — Commonly used with cable/rod suspended partitions.
- 12mm, 1/2″ (0.472″) Thick Panels — Used with 10mm rod suspension system for creating partition walls and screens that require a more secure and stable installation.
- Satin Chrome Finish (Matte Nickel/Chrome Plating) — Chrome plating over matte nickel creates a durable, uniform finish with a semi-lustrous appearance and low reflectivity.
- Natural Stainless Steel Finish — Parts are machined and polished to achieve a satin/semi-gloss texture, adding a sleek touch to the suspension system.
- Ceiling Fixing — Ensure that cable/rod top fixings are securely anchored to ceiling joists, blocking, or the deck above a drop ceiling at weight-bearing points to prevent failure.
- Compatibility — Note that some cable suspension kits (e.g., CA4, CA4-3) and the 6mm rod system may not support the CB-25, CB-38, or CB-50 bases.
- Liability — Installers are solely responsible for correct fixing, and no liability will be assumed for incorrect installation.
Adjustable-Angle Fixings for Cable Systems
- Ceiling Fixing — Anchor cable top fixings exclusively to ceiling joists or blocking; avoid installation into plasterboard (drywall) ceilings.
- Weight Distribution — Consider the impact of angled cable systems on weight distribution across panels to prevent uneven stress on the suspension system.
- Panel Thickness Limitation — Avoid using panels over 1/4″ in thickness with cables suspended in an angled configuration unless panel size and weight allow for such application. Heavy weight may affect the performance of the cable system.
Cable/Rod Suspension Systems — Hardware Options
- Side-Grip Panel Supports — Ideal for suspending acrylic panels without holes from the sides.
- Top/Bottom Panel Supports — Recommended for smaller split-size panels, these supports suspend acrylic panels without holes from the top and bottom.
- Panel Supports with Stud-Caps — Designed for suspending acrylic panels drilled for M4 or M6 studs, these supports accommodate panels placed in front of the cables/rods and are available for 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ thick panels.
Adjustable-Angle Fixings for Rod Systems
- Ceiling Fixing — Anchor rod top fixings solely to ceiling joists or blocking; avoid installation into plasterboard (drywall) ceilings.
- Structural Integrity — Consider how angling the rod system may impact the overall structural integrity of the installation, potentially affecting the stability of the partitions.
- Weight Distribution — Be mindful of how angled rod systems may influence weight distribution across panels to prevent uneven stress on the suspension system.
- Panel Thickness Limitation — Avoid using panels over 1/4″ in thickness with rods suspended in an angled configuration unless panel size and weight allow for such application. Heavy weight may affect the performance of the rod system.
Dual-Grip Cable Standoffs for Cable/Rod Suspended Partitions
Our dual-grip cable standoffs with wide projection are specifically designed to construct suspended double-depth and/or double-sided ornamental screens. These standoffs can support two screens on the same cables and are available in different projection lengths to space screens apart at 60mm (2-3/8”), 70mm (2-3/4″), and 95mm (3-3/4″).
