California Proposition 65

At Nova Display Systems we take the safety and health of our employees and our customers seriously. Our Company is founded on the belief that building quality long lasting products from highly grade, safe, and recyclable materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and brass, greatly reduces the overall environment impact associated with manufacturing.

Proposition 65, Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, does not regulate the content or composition of products. Instead, it requires that businesses such as retailers and manufacturers provide a clear and reasonable warning before exposing someone in California to one of approximately 900 chemicals listed by California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment. Many of the elements listed under Proposition 65 are common everyday additives found in products such as electronics, vehicles, appliances, construction materials, jewelry, cosmetics, furniture, and other household items. In many cases, these substances are present in very low concentration and only used in the manufacturing process and the waste is properly recycled or disposed. The Proposition 65 Warning Label is required by law on all products that may contain any of these ingredients and materials. Out of an abundance of caution and because there is always a chance that the hundreds of chemicals listed in Proposition 65 could potentially be on our fittings, fixtures, finished product, or packing materials, we must include Proposition 65 warnings on our products sold to California under this law.
